Awareness through insight
By measuring the energy use at power-socket level, the Plugwise user obtains detailed information about the energy consumption behavior per individual appliance, simultaneously gaining detailed insight in the possibilities for saving (kWh and €).
Action by remotely switching
With this knowledge the Plugwise users can create switching schedules in the Plugwise software application to (remotely) switch connected appliances on and off. These schedules may be synced with arrival and departure times, day and night rhythms, tariffs of energy, aimed at reducing energy consumption (standby-killer). All this is feasible for each individual appliance, room, floor, building, division or any group of your choice.
Saving on energy cost and reducing C02 emission (environment)
Reducing the energy consumption will benefit the Plugwise user in two ways: firstly it will lower the energy-bill drastically and secondly it will reduce the C02 emission which will improve the environment we live in.
