IBM, Accenture, Plugwise and Cisco) in order to illustrate how energy can be saved, now and in the future. Together they are developing smart projects that will change the world.
In 2009 and 2010, ASC will initiate a large number of projects in the focus areas Working, Living, Mobility and Public space. Until now, Amsterdam Smart City has initiated 3 major projects with Plugwise:
1) Energy Management Haarlem. Click here for full project description
2) Ito Tower. Click here for full project description
3) Climate Street. Click here for full project description
ASC focusses on innovative technology combined with stimulating behavorial change of Amsterdam Residents. All initiatives should be economically sustainable investments and their benefits are tested in local, small-scale projects. These projects are realised by bringing private and public parties together. The initiatives that prove to be the most effective can be implemented on a large scale, allowing ASC to create a catalyst for climate and energy programs. The ultimate goal of these projects is the reduction of CO2 reductions on an Amsterdam, national and European scale.
