The Plugwise Switch is a wireless switch which enables you to easily switch lighting or appliances on or off, without wiring. Use the Source software to group which parts of the Plugwise system you would like to respond to the Switch and create an intelligent arrangement that matches your needs.
The Switch can be used in combination with manual switching via Source, as well as with the automatic switching programmes and Standby-killer of the Circles. Starting with the next switching moment in the programme, the programme will once again be adhered to. In Source, you can specify that sensitive equipment such as your computer may not be switched off manually, although this type of equipment can be switched off using the Switch.
To keep the energy consumption of the Switch as low as possible, the Switch works as a sleeping end-device. This means that the Switch only sends signals if you push one of the buttons. The Switch, therefore, does not provide data to other modules. Circles and Stealths do, however, pass on switching commands from the Switch to the other modules in the network.
The Switch is powered by two included AAA batteries and contains two switches that you can set up separately from each other. One large switch for controlling a single group is also included. This makes the Switch the ideal solution for rooms with a flexible arrangement. The Switch comes standard with wall-mounting materials and an installation manual.
