What is it?
The Smile P1 (V3) is faster to use, easier to operate, more robust and also works with the latest generation of smart meters. Furthermore, the data remains on the Smile P1 itself and you can now also view the graphs in the browser.
Which Smile P1 do I have?
V3
Are you already using the Plugwise Home app? Then you already have the latest V3. You do not need an update. The Plugwise Home app can be recognized by a blue square with the letter p.
V2
Only the Smile P1 V2 with firmware version 4.3.x or higher can be upgraded to the V3. Check the firmware version in the settings of your Smile P1 or let us check this.
V1
If your Smile P1 has firmware version 2.1.x then it cannot be upgraded. Please contact us for a coutesy discount for a new Smile P1 (V3). Check the firmware version in the settings of your Smile P1. The V1 can also be recognized by an external antenna.
Why isn’t my Smile P1 upgraded by itself?
The V3 version uses the new Plugwise Home app. Once your Smile P1 has been upgraded, it no longer works with the old app. We have no option to notify users of an update.
Stretch and Source
Note: The Smile P1 (V3) works together with the new Plugwise Home app and not with the Plugwise Mobile app or Source. If you used the old Smile-P1 together with the Stretch, then only the Stretch can be operated via the old app. The consumption and yield information of the Stretch and the Smile-P1 are no longer displayed in combination. It is not yet known whether the Stretch will also be included in the Plugwise Home app at a later date.
